I'm not sure how much play this video is getting outside of South Carolina, but here's Miss Teen South Carolina attempting to answer a question at the recent Miss Teen USA pageant:
I just want to mention at this point that I love my job.
I think US American, um, should probably, um, put less emphasis and importance on, oh and South African Americans, um, on beauty, style and, um, stuff, and, I mean, maybe focus on, book reading and getting learned, um... times up?
OMG, she's huge across the country now! One of my students went to high school with her. I said, "She's really not that stupid, is she?" He just sat there, looked at me, and didn't say a word.
She really knows how to answer a question by not answering it, doesn't she.
ReplyDeleteI think we may have found our next Attorney General.
I think she could have just said, "Are you kidding? Look at me. I'm so blonde, I don't have maps in my house, I just have mirrors!"
ReplyDeleteIt's times like these when I'm embarrassed to say I was educated in the South Carolina public school system.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Dr. K.
This clip was also shown (and made quite a bit of fun of) on G4's Attack of the Show last night.
ReplyDeleteMy wife, who is a high school teacher, just shook her head and said "no wonder teachers on average leave after only seven years."
